HI all,

I would say, that everybody should do such a job in batch - otherwise I
could only call him a bit crazy !

But I fully agree with you.

Regards

Volker

P.S.: Will tell in the note, to use batch.

Hi...

Remember, these boxes are server boxes and have very little interactive
processor....

We fell into the exact same hole...the 720 took hours & hours because we ran
it interactive... in the 840 we ran it in batch & it flew through 400Gb in
about 30mins

Good luck...

Andi

V5R1

This past weekend we upgraded our DEV/TST AS400 to V5R1. This AS400
is a 720. When we ran the STROBJCVN against our R3DEVDATA library and
it ran for about 4 hours, 30 minutes. Most of the time the WRKACTJOB
command showed this program in a TIMW status and it was only using 3-
5% CPU. Our DEV database is about 180gig.

It almost appeares the STROBJCVN program is set to be throttled back,
like you could run it in a production environment without impacting
users. Is there any way to speed this program up or let it use more
system resources? I would like no TIMW statuses and let the thing run
my CPU up to 100%. It doesn't do me any good to have this running at
3% and taking 5 hours to run, my SAP system is down anyway.

My production system is on a 840 so I would assume it will be faster
than 4-5 hours BUT I would still like to let the program use more
system resources.
