Running "RCLSTG SELECT(*DBXREF)"
We are getting ready to upgrade our V4R5 server to V5R1 this comingweekend. When we ran the Prepare, one of the steps was to run
the "Verify" within the Prepare. This checks authorizations and a few
other items. The Verify is telling us the Database Cross Reference
files are in error. The solution is to run the "RCLSTG SELECT
(*DBXREF)" command to correct the problem prior to the upgrade.
We have a 840 12-way with 32gig memory. Our R3 database is about
160gig. Does anyone have any idea how long this RCLSTG command may
run? I have no idea whether to expect 10 minutes or 10 hours. Also,
has anyone else run into this?
