Homogenous system copy - EBCDIC 4.6C onV5R 1- copy P01 back to TST

Hi Volker,

So if I understand correctly, I can use this procedure even though we are at
4.6C?

This procedure looks easier than first deleting the TST system and then
doing a homogenous system copy to recreate.

Regards,

Jay.

Hi Doreen,

you are perfectly right.

As it is a lot easier, a lot customers are using this note with a few
enhancements.
One approach is shown at:
" http://groups.consolut.net/group/SAP on System i/files/Database
<http://groups.consolut.net/group/SAP on System i/files/Database> Copy as of
46B.htm"

Regards

Volker

36862 states "This Note only applies to Releases lower than 4.5B" so it
does not apply to our 4.6C environment

Hi Doreen,

please reference note 36862.

We did the HOMOGENOUS SYSTEM COPY one month ago and this note was
helpful.
