Jobs and work process

Eric:

If you are concern about the background job running simultaneous, you can
define the job start after one after another. This will prevent the jobs
running together. If the job is regular job, you can define the following
jobs start after certain events, define step in first job to call command to
trigger the event at the end of job. This will also ensure the sequence of
the job also reschedule the job itself.
Hope it help.

Hi Group,

We have conflict problems managing different batch process who are running
simultaneous.
We would like to find a SAP parameter that guarantee for each batch process
a one by one running without any simultaneous.
The differents solutions that we have try and not keep are :
- Use only one work process in batch mode (for performance reasons)
- Use different step in an SM36 background job, one for each batch process
(too much combination between jobs and so too much background job to define
and manage in SM36)
- Use the job class : We have understand that it's the best way to guarantee
the running of high priority job, because class A job are always processed
before jobs of other classes but it doesn't permit to adress job with a
défine job class in one défine work process.
In summarize, we would like to reproduce in SAP the AS400 management of a
JOBQ with an unique entry, best way to guarantee job organization.
