SAP ABAP calling external program
Hi,you could use the REXEC-Server on the target site and use the CL-Command
RUNRMTCMD on the iSeries site.
This could be done within a small CL-Program. Then you can issue any command on
the target system.
As very strange solution, you could install a gateway on compaq and start a
RFC-program there.

We have this requirement whereby:
an employee is created in HR and this transaction executes an ABAP program
which triggers a call to an external program residing in a Netware
directory (in a Compaq server).
1) Is this technically possible?
2) if yes, what are the components that I need to have or to install.
