startsap fail

Hi Alessandro,

did you check, that the environment variables are set properly ? It looks to me,
that they are missing - at least the SAP System-ID.
As short-term-workaround, you could try and set the properly yourself with
WRKENVVAR when you have a look to a system that behaves fine.

I will be back in the office tomorrow.

1 - R3RMTDB & QXDAEDRSQL are running
2 - hostname, ip, lan ... are ok ... are the same
3 - aut on ifs I think that is OK
4 - ifs profile file codepage I think that is ok
5 - delete sqlpkg
6 - rclstg
7 - kernel is 31I_COM 695
8 - try with apyr3krn
9 - try fixr3own
9 - try as4fixfile
10 - GRTOBJAUT OBJ(QBFCSETP) OBJTYPE(*PGM) USER(R3SERVER) AUT(*USE)
11 - call qbfclisten (TCP_SOCKET 'sapdbsrv' QUSRSYS) is ok on R3RMTDB jobd
12 - check in WRKSRVTBLE sapdbsrv port
13 - try an IPL
14 - saposcol runs with -l param
15 - try to delete files on data, work and log directory
16 - try to delete files on global

... the restore/21 is on the same host that I saved previus week with a
save/21: same hardware with same configuration. Each configuration obj is
Ok, each licpgm is ok.

Hi list,

a R/3 system can't start after restore/21. in sapstar log I see :

*** unknown SAPSYSTEMNAME.
(22) Exiting with Return-Code -101. (Unknown Sap-System-Name)

In INSTSTAT

EXIT_TIME 2003/01/04 16:25:45
EXIT_WITH -101 Unknown Sap-System-Name

... in spool file I see this message :

Could not bind the reader stream socket: L'indirizzo } gi{ impegnato

and

sapparam(2): fopen("/usr/sap/TRY/SYS/profile/START_DVEBMGS03","r"):
Permesso n
No Profile used.
sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

I check the auto of this profile file ... but I think that is OK.
