How can I find the component of an Programm fo r make an OSS-Message

An even better (and more generic) way that works for other kinds of objects
too is the following that I still had documented somewhere from my days at
SAP themselves ... 😎

Execute (e.g. via SA38) program RSSTATUS (description = "Specificaton Of
Subapplication For A TADIR Object") and you will get a screen like:

------------------------------------------
Transaction
Report/Program ( Screen
Table
Data element
Domain
------------------------------------------

Fill-in what you want to know the Component (Area) for and the result will
show it to you.

Try it, you'll like it!

Regards, Louis.

Hi Jürgen,

you can try the following approach:
- Se38
- enter the ABAP name
- display the attributes
- Then double-click on the development class => Here you see the Appl.
Componente of your object

Volker

An general question.
Perhaps to easy for the most of the members of the group.

How can I get the right Component of an Programm if I have the
Programname.

I can search in SAP-Notes and than I can see the component wich has
typed in someone.
But this is not the best way.
Becouse this "someone" can made a mistake....

How is the right was to find it in SAP-Retail Release 46C.
