Long running batch job
On our BW and R/3 production systems we sometimes have a batch job whichjust runs for hours without doing a commit(it just hangs). When this happens
at night the backup fails since it cannot reach a sync point.
Do any of you know how to monitor for a situation like this and what can be
done? It is always a job doing some kind of external communication and the
only thing to to is to kill the job. We should of course find the reason for
this but it would be nice if we could also prevent the backup from failing.
