Background Jobs
Yeah, a job running in background loses the ability to map to a "localdrive" - because it doesn't know "who's local drive to go to". Once the
job is submitted to background, the job doesn't care which workstation
initiated it.

Hi Gang,
Our Payroll department needs to run several background jobs once a month
that pulls and reports on data dealing with Employee 401K Contributions.
At
the end of the program, it should take this file and save it off to
either a
local file on a PC or to a mapped network drive. When we run this
program
in dialog it works successfully, but when we run it in background it
fails
at the step of saving the data to a local file. Does anyone know if
there
is anything that we can do to be able to run this program successfully
in
the background?
