Electronic Service Agent for V5R1
Yes, we use the Electronic Service Agent on v5R1. We run it on allour AS400's to report hardware problems electronically/automatically
to IBM. We do not use the Automatic PTF monitor, I don't want to be
downloading PTF's without knowing about them. I don't thnik they are
applied BUT I still don't want the PTF's downloaded. We only use the
hardware monitoring of the product.
I installed the software which was on separate CD's than the install
CD. Our IBM service rep came out then and did what little
configuration needed to be done, didn't look to hard to configure but
he wanted to do it.
