ASP over flow

Hi Crosby,

as long as your ASP 2 is overflown, your (assumed) journal receivers are
stored to system ASP, so your applications will keep on running. To clear
the situation just save your journalreceivers (SAVOBJ command) with
parameter STG = *FREE. If all receivers which have been overflown to system
ASP can be saved and deleted, your situation is cleared.

Under some circumstances it may appear that you delete all receivers but the
overflow statusbyte will remain set and so you still keep getting messages
about an overflow situation. We used to ignore these messages and wait until
next IPL, which will reset the statusbyte.

To check if there are still receiverdata in system ASP, got to SST - 3 Work
with disk units - 1 Display disk configuration - 2 Display disk
configuration capacity, press F9 to see the overflow amount (amount of
megabytes overflown to system ASP).

If you have further questions, just ask.

Regards,

Franz Lehnardt

Hello fellow SAPLING'S I have a problem. My ASP2 has over flowed and it's
been so long since this problem occured that I've forgotten the procedure to
clear the ASP. I've search on OSS to find a solution but to no avail. I'm
opening up a OSS note but if anyone can assist me I will be greately
appreciative. I'm running on AS400 V5R1M0 and 31I_COM kernel. HELP.
