Hello Chris just finnished an V5R1 -> V5R2 with Kernel Patch 1330 onlu problem
we encountered was a bad ABAP that was using a find INDEX with no value for
the search. IBM made some SQL changes in V5R2. We have 730 SB1's 840 DB. SAP
rel 4.6C.

Had issues with the 730 SB1's IBm only supports 3 IOP's on SB1, V5R2 created a
4th Virtual IOP, there is a PTF for this now, this should not be a problem for
you. .

Hello everybody,

hoping anybody can (and will) answer my question,
We're having three SAP instances (DEV, QAS & PRD) on one 830 running
V4R5.
Lately we haven't updated the PTF level and so our latest cum pack is
C1296450. The SAP kernels are all on path level 956.

In our pre upgrading proces to V5R2 we want to update the PTF level
to C2169450 (according to SF99450) and subsequentially upgrade the
SAP kernel of the Development system to patch level 1444, and,if no
problem accurs, update the kernel of the other two systems one week
later or so.

Does anybody experienced (or know I will) any problems with the
production system with the old kernel in combination with the new cum
pack??
