Possiblity of rare chararacter corruptions with DBCS installs

Hello,

It has come to the attention of SAP that in rare instances, customers
that have installed a 4.6D DBCS GLS R/3 System or a MDMP system that
includes a DBCS language may see character corruptions with rarely
used Unicode characters in the range of 0x1400 to 0x167F. This was
caused by the SAP system using an outdated version of character
conversion tables for the IBM QADRT ASCII C Runtime. This does not
affect customers using the GLS Version in a SBCS-only environment,
and may not affect DBCS customers that do not use these special
Unicode characters.
This problem has been resolved with OSS Note #601554. It is
recommended by SAP that if you have installed a 4.6D R/3 System using
a DBCS Language, then you should follow the instructions in the OSS
Note #601554 to ensure that the correct character conversion tables
are used by SAP and IBM QADRT ASCII C Runtime.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen (Best Regards),
Trick Hartman
