Thanks for that information (although its note 585277).
Still i am having no luck connecting the SAPINST to the AS/400. The error
message i get in the TMKSVR job is:
error: invalid TSTECH header received.
Both gui and as/400 are at jdk 1.3 with environment variables set.
The gui fails to connect with a 'failed to initialize properly' Connection
lost while waiting for server packet (WSAGETLASTERROR 0).
I'm using uppercase passwords to connect.
Anyway the fun is over for today, it will continue only on thursday due to a
national holiday here tomorrow.

Already found it, SAPINST runs as a gui on windows, so I needed the windows
installation information.

Hi,
Where can i find documentation on how to work with SAPINST systemcopies for
iseries.
The copy guide for 6.20 does not mention iseries and the notes do not give
specific information for handling SAPINST on iseries (installing and
environment variables and such). Most of the actions necessary i can deduce
from the guide, but i might oversee something.
We're doing a BW 31 copy with the SAVLIB/RSTLIB procedure. According to the
notes this is supported.
