Daniel,We had a similar problem once with our 4.5B system. It was caused by a
corruption of the SYSTEM.CFG file and/or the data area R3<SID>400/R3_nn.
This resulted in the system thinking it was 3-tier instead of 2-tier.

Hi Group,
We tried to run SAP 46B on our backup machine yesterday, but were getting
strange messages in the SAPSTART.LOG:
Exception CPFB752 in file sapo4start.c line 772
Internal error in QxdaConnectEDRS API
Within SAP, we were getting the error message "Error in external database
interface QXDA" when trying to run different transactions. I stopped and
restarted the QXDAEDRSQL job, and checked all the relevant passwords and
authorities, and they were fine.
We've opened a ticket with SAP, but have not heard anything yet.
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated, as we need to switch to our
backup box as soon as possible!
