Retaining SAPGUI History when PC Changed or GUI Upgrades
When we upgrade (swap out) PC's the user gets a new install of SAPand we copy nothing for the SapGUI from the old machine to the new.
When we upgrade the SAPGui version on a existing machine, we
basically uninstall the old GUI, remove all the GUI related
directories then install the new version. We do this because every
release of the GUI ends up in different directories.
Can the History files (*.mdb located in sapworkdir) be saved, then
after the new GUI is installed be moved back to the sapworkdir? This
way the users won't loose the History. I'm unsure if the new version
of the GUI will use a exisiting history file.
I can't believe our users are complaining but they are....I guess
they need to complain about something. Worse yet is the fact I'm
wasting my time looking into something so minor.
