Pat,We are new in the SAP world but have used the AS/400, S38, S36, S34, S32 for
decades. I don't believe there is a lack of documentation but it is difficult to
find.
IBM has plenty of "REDBOOKS" on the subject and you can down load them in PDF
format for FREE. Lots to print. Of coarse they are not as up to date
as the software or hardware but pretty close.

Hi,
Just to add a different slant on this issue, I have always felt that
the AS/400-iSeries is the best computer in the industry. My issue has
always been that SAP is too expensive for those of us working in small
capitalization companies. (Besides my frustration with the lack of
proper documentation for Basis).
