Could you give us a layout of your systems?

I really like the idea of how yours sounds with regards to managing WP's.

I prefer multiple smaller instances, even if they are on the same physical
server. It gives you more flexibility. In our case, we have a central
instance, an interactive instance, and a batch instance. I can tune each
one individually, or shut down just batch, or shut down batch and
interactive and leave up just the central instance for period close
processing, for example.

Plus, if I'm using SM50, I don't have to page down to see everything!
