Backup SAP EBCDIC and ASCII on same tape?

Hi,

no change at all!

Do what you did in the past and it will work. "ASCII" is just a name,
but not the truth!

For the AS/400 these are Unicode tables, which totally behave like
EBCDIC tables for the backup!

Good luck,

Volker

tapes (initialized with CODE(*EBCDIC)) went through without any
message. I didn't find any information in the tape device description
or options in SAVLIB or SAVR3SYS. Did I get valid backup with EBCDIC
tapes? Could anyone share his/her experience with SAP ASCII backup
procedure?
