em/initial_size_MB

Hi Don,

em/initial_size_MB has NOTHING to do your main memory on iSeries! It
is only a question how much storage all your users need to store the
user-contexts. You can see this by the end of the week in ST02 in the
line "Extended Menory". It is always useful to have more than needed,
because otherwise you run fast into "priv mode" what you really don't
want. On the other hand, it is not a problem for iSeries if you
defined too much. It just consumes disk-space but no memory if it is
not used. So, the more the better - as long as you have sufficient
disks ...

Regards

Volker
