Add-on removal

Hi Fernando.

What about a back up copy of the DEV system? Then it would simply be like a
system refresh of your DEV system.

Subject: Add-on removal

Hi Group,

We have the next situation. We are in 46C ASCII. We have installed in
our development system the Discreet Industries Add-on. After some tests
we have decided that we don't want its functionality.
Now we have a different environment in dev and production. It is not
possible to uninstall the add-on so, what to do?

I think there are two things we can do:
1 - install the add-on in production. I don't like this because the
add-on has some problems that I guess we could correct installing some
OSS notes, but we have not worked on that.
2 - rebuild the dev system using the productive system. We'd loose the
version management, so I don't like this one either.

Anybody think we have another option?
If no, which would be the best way to do the second option?

Regards,
Fernando
