Add-on removal

We try to do things like this in our Sandbox environment first, if possible,
just for that reason--there's no easy way to undo something like that. We
refresh Sandbox frequently enough that it is not an issue.

Hi Group,

We have the next situation. We are in 46C ASCII. We have installed in
our development system the Discreet Industries Add-on. After some tests
we have decided that we don't want its functionality.
Now we have a different environment in dev and production. It is not
possible to uninstall the add-on so, what to do?

I think there are two things we can do:
1 - install the add-on in production. I don't like this because the
add-on has some problems that I guess we could correct installing some
OSS notes, but we have not worked on that.
2 - rebuild the dev system using the productive system. We'd loose the
version management, so I don't like this one either.

Anybody think we have another option?
If no, which would be the best way to do the second option?

Regards,
Fernando
