Indeed, running EXT and Non-EXT kernels on OS/400 and NT is possible.
All the interfaces are compatible. But if you decide to run the EXT
it makes sense to do do it in both operating systems.

Replacing the EXE directory is enough, an installation is not
necessary. Please read note 561395 as well in addition to the Windows
EXT kernel note.
