CPU unusually high

A long time ago we used to see this when a WP was manually ended
(process, cancel without core) from within SAP but the O/S did not end
the WP job and restart it. The O/S job would become a sort of "runaway"
consuming 9.x % cpu.

Take a look in SAP to see what is running in the WP - if there is
nothing perhaps this was your case and you need to end the O/S job and
let it spawn a new one. Also make sure to look in the Developer Trace
log in SAP.

Subject: CPU unusually high

Hi,

Today I recognized that my system cpu jump up to 99%. From wrkactjob, I
could see many WPs not doing anything but the CPU % is high, e.g
CPU Function Status
9.6 PGM-DW SEMW

Do you have any idea why? Thank you for you input!

Thanks,

Ed
