Antwort: Antwort: Code Page Conversion

Hi Teoh,

I didn't use the export/import conversion.I think the inplace conversion
is the right way if you stay on the same hardeware and change nothing on
the system.

Yes we use the optimzed 46D kernel. It's stable. But on our systems you
didn't see much of better performance.

Best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the info. Have you ever do the export/import strategy? The
local IBM was suggested to use export/import strategy. It would be
much safer according to them.

By the way, your box is a 825 which is using POWER4 processor, do you
use the 46D downward compatible optimized kernel for POWER4
processor? If yes, do you feel the better performance?

I am still using 45B but intend to go R3E 4.7 but I need 3 jumps
according to SAP and IBM. Anybody out there going 3 jumps before?

Regards,
Teoh
