EBIA0023 - IS-U: Validations for Facts

Enhancement

To assist fact maintenance, you can use this enhancement to implement checks that go beyond the consistency checks supplied by SAP. For example, you can refer to operand values, fact groups, or the assignment of values in the installation facts of specific installations.

You cannot use this enhancement to change the facts or other values.

Recommendation

We highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the programming model in the Utilities industry (IS-U) component. You will need this information to understand the program structure and the function modules. This knowledge will also help you implement your own coding.

Because this enhancement does not enable you to process the facts, you should formulate the error messages that are displayed after failed checks as precisely as possible. Users should be able to deduce from the log which follow-up actions are required as the result of specific messages.
