Customers can use this function to implement specific instances of the authorization check for spool requests.

The general authorizations SP01 and SP0R are checked centrally. Checks that go beyond this (for example, the authorization field check for a spool request) can be adapted to individual needs using this function.

The function receives the following parameters: Access type (ACCESS) and lead information for a spool request (SPOOLREQ). The different actions for the access type are:

  • BASE Request visible
  • ATTR Change attributes
  • DISP Display contents
  • DELE Delete
  • REDI Redirect to another printer
  • REPR Reprint
  • PRNT Print document
  • AUTH Change authorization field

To prevent an action, exception NO_PERMISSION must be triggered. This exception is automatically provided with an appropriate message for the action through the calling module.

This enhancement mechanism is only used if the spool authorization check is set to the new procedure using the CUSTOM option. For this, you should set the parameter AUTHORITY to the value CUSTOM in table TSPOPTIONS.
