This user exit provides you with the option of either specifying and assigning a document number yourself or only specifying a number range ID when creating a purchase requisition using the function module ME_CREATE_REQUISITION_EXT.
If only the number range ID is returned, the system determines the document number on the basis of the usual definitions in Customizing.
