Overview

Customer enhancement in the area of the FI customer

When a customer is created in the Financial Accounting component (FI), SAP enhancements can be used to format address data and name elements. You can use these enhancements to specify the form of address, title, name affix and name in a field in the Financial Accounting component.
If the address data and name elements are then read from the Financial Accounting component for output in a list or on a form, it may be necessary to split the concatenated fields into individual fields to ensure the form of address, title or name affix are made available again separately.
The enhancement N0070001 enables you to influence the address and name fields of the customer from the Financial Accounting component. Please note that these modifications are only used for output on forms or in lists and are not saved in the Financial Accounting component.

Components of the Enhancement

The enhancement N0070001 contains the component (function exit):

• EXIT_SAPLN007_001: Split concatenated customer address and name

This function exit is always called whenever customer address data or name elements are to be output on a form or in a list. For a detailed description of the function exit and its interface, please refer to the function module documentation.

Note

If you activate this SAP enhancement, you have to transfer at least the data of the transfer structure SS_RNG12 into the output structure SS_RNL121, otherwise no customer address data or name elements appear in the list or on the form.
If you activate an SAP enhancement, it is also essential to provide corresponding source code. Failure to do so results in errors in the output.
