Cause . . . . . : The reason codes mean that one of following was specified on a Display Journal (DSPJRN) command:
1 -- ENTDTALEN(*CALC), or NULLINDLEN(*OUTFILFMT) and ENTDTALEN(field length).
2 -- ENTDTALEN(*VARLEN *CALC), or NULLINDLEN(*OUTFILFMT) and ENTDTALEN(*VARLEN field length).
3 -- NULLINDLEN(*CALC)
4 -- NULLINDLEN(*VARLEN *CALC)
5 -- ENTDTALEN(*CALC) and NULLINDLEN(*CALC)
6 -- ENTDTALEN(*VARLEN *CALC) and NULLINDLEN(*CALC)
7 -- ENTDTALEN(*CALC) and NULLINDLEN(*VARLEN *CALC)
8 -- ENTDTALEN(*VARLEN *CALC) and NULLINDLEN(*VARLEN *CALC)
However, the lengths of the entry specific data and the null value indicators fields calculated by the system cause the record length of the output file to exceed the maximum record length for a database file.
For reason codes 3 and 4, the null value indicators field will be truncated. For all other reason codes, the entry specific data field will be truncated.
Additionally, the entry specific data field will be truncated if NULLINDLEN(*OUTFILFMT) is specified and the length specified for the entry specific data field causes the maximum record length for a database file to be exceeded.
Recovery . . . : Specify a valid numeric value for the ENTDTALEN or the NULLINDLEN keyword. See the CL topic collection in the Programming category in the IBM i Information Center book, http://www.ibm.com/systems/i/infocenter/, for the range of valid values for each of the two keywords.
