Value on DATFMT keyword requires DFT keyword.

Cause . . . . . : A value other than *ISO, *EUR, *USA, or *JIS was specified on the DATFMT keyword. When one of those values is specified on the DATFMT keyword, and the field also allows the null value (ALWNULL), the DFT keyword must be specified with a valid date entered as the default value.
Recovery . . . : Do one of the following and then try the request again.
-- Specify a value of *ISO, *EUR, *USA, or *JIS on the DATFMT keyword.
-- Specify the DFT keyword with a valid date value.
-- Omit the DATFMT keyword.
-- Omit the ALWNULL keyword.
