Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The Vary Configuration (VRYCFG) command failed. The specified port number (PORT parameter) for device &1 is not permitted when attached to a 2637 or 2638 controller. A device was ng trying to be varied on to a 2637 controller at a port other than 0 through 5, or a device was trying to be varied on to a 2638 controller at a port other than 0 or 1.
Recovery . . . : Change the port number in the device description to a value of 0 through 5 if attached to a 2637 controller, or 0 or 1 if attached to a 2638 controller, then try the request again.
