Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : Either the remote file &5 for Distributed Data Management (DDM) file &2 in &3 contains initially varying length records and update was specified on the open, or the record length exceeds 32766 bytes. Only fixed or varying length records with a length of 32766 bytes or less are supported. Initially varying length records are supported only when the file is opened for anything other than update operations. The remote file record class is &1, and the remote file record length is &12.
Recovery . . . : Either use the RMTFILE parameter of the CHGDDMF command to access a remote file with a supported record class and length, or use the CHGDDMF command to identify a different Distributed File Management (DFM) target system. If the remote file record class is initially varying then make sure the file is not opened for update operations.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The record classes are as follows: 1) X'142E' for a fixed length record; 2) X'142F' for an initially varying length record; 3) X'1431' for a varying length record.
