Message : CPD931D
Disk unit maintenance operation &5 failed for resource &1.

Message Long Text :

Technical description . . . . . . . . : The operation code is &5. The operation codes and their meanings follow:
-- X'01' - Resume mirroring on disk resources.
-- X'02' - Suspend mirroring on disk resources.
-- X'03' - Inquire mirroring status of disk resources.
-- X'04' - Unlock disk resources so that another process can access the resources.
The return code is &4. The return codes and their meanings follow:
-- X'0201' - Both disk units of a mirrored set would be disabled if the function were executed. The request is rejected.
-- X'0202' - A non-mirrored disk unit is the target of this request.
-- X'0203' - The function is not valid for the requester to perform.
-- X'0204' - The function field does not contain a valid value.
-- X'0205' - The requester field does not contain valid requester data.
-- X'0301' - The suspend operation for a disk unit has failed. The other disk of a mirrored set has as status which does not allow the function to be performed. All of the disk units under the IOP/controller which have been suspended thus far by the suspend request are automatically resumed. This return code differs from the X'0201' return code in the following manner: the 0201 caught the state error (both devices of a mirror pair would be disabled if the function were allowed) BEFORE any operation was performed. The 0301 code indicates that the initial check of the disk states indicated that all were in a valid state to start the operation. During the suspend of the units one of the following happened:
A different process suspended one of the disk devices that the requester is going to suspend.
A different process suspended the mirror pair of a device the requester is going to suspend.
-- X'0401' - An error occurred while executing the function.
-- X'0501' - The I/O processor, disk controller, or disk unit could not be located. The I/O address does not match the address of any disk resource on the system.
-- X'0502' - The status of the disk resource is not correct for the function requested.
For the RESUME, SUSPEND, and UNLOCK functions the valid states are: disabled and not locked, disabled and locked to the process, enabled, or enable-pending.
For the INQUIRE function all states are valid.
