Length not valid for data area &1 in &2

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The length for creating the data area &1 in library &2 is not valid. The length was either specified on the LEN parameter or defaulted from the length of the VALUE parameter.
Recovery . . . : If the LEN parameter was specified, change its value. If the LEN parameter was not specified, change the length of the VALUE specified. Then try the CRTDTAARA command again.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The allowable length range for a type *CHAR data area is 1-2000; for *DEC is 1-24 total digits, 0-9 decimal digits, and no more decimal digits than total digits; and for *LGL the length must be 1.
