File parameters for EMLDEV must specify device *3278 with format *EXTFIELD.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : An application program attempted to acquire a formatted Systems Network Architecture 3270 application program interface (SNA 3270 API) session. The program specified extended field (*EXTFIELD) and a device type other than *3278 for the emulation device (EMLDEV) parameter values on the Add ICF Device Entry (ADDICFDEVE), the Change ICF Device Entry (CHGICFDEVE) or the Override ICF Device Entry (OVRICFDEVE) command.
Recovery . . . : Do not specify extended field (*EXTFIELD) with device type other than *3278 for the emulation device (EMLDEV) parameter. If you specify a device type other than *3278 you may choose from no field (*NOFIELD) or field (*FIELD) when running in a formatted session, or unformat (*UNFORMAT) when running in an unformatted session.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The extended field value (*EXTFIELD) is only valid with device type *3278 specified for the emulation device (EMLDEV) parameter.
