Message : CPF9356
Logical connection not established for APPC device &25.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The attempt to start work for a remote work station controller was not successful because the system detected a communications error using advanced program-to-program communications (APPC) on device &25. The failure code is &7.
The first four digits of the failure code contain the reason code. Values for the first four digits are as follows:
0009 -- Activate session timed out.
0010 -- Device &25 not varied on.
4834 -- Recovery canceled.
6826 -- SNA failure.
C00B -- Internal failure which caused partial damage.
E015-E019,E01A -- SNA failure.
E020-E022 -- Hardware failure.
Recovery . . . : Depending on the reason code:
0009 -- Use the Display Mode Description (DSPMODD) command to be sure that all of the communication modes used on this system, on any intermediate systems, and on the controller match. If they match, use the Display Mode Status (DSPMODSTS) command to show the number of active sessions. If that number is equal to the maximum allowed sessions in the mode description, have the controller use another mode, or wait until one of the sessions is free, or increase the maximum number of active sessions. Initiate communications from the controller.
0010 -- Vary on device description &25. Initiate communications from the controller.
All other codes -- Vary off and vary on device description &25 using the Vary Configuration (VRYCFG) command. Initiate communications from the controller.
If the problem occurs again, check for related messages in the system operator message queue or configured message queue ( DSPMSG command), and in the job log of the subsystem that handles requests that come from device &25 (Display Subsystem - DSPSBS command). If errors are indicated, attempt the recovery suggested by those messages and initiate communications from the controller.
If the controller still cannot start its work, collect the following information:
-- the job log of the subsystem that handles requests for device &25 (DSPSBS command).
-- a dump of device &25 (DMPSYSOBJ command).
-- any information which previous messages in the job log for the subsystem above indicate should be collected.
Then run the Analyze Problem (ANZPRB) command to report the problem.
