Cause . . . . . : BSCEL received a message from the remote system while responding to communications device &1. The first 14 characters of the received message follow: &3
The following list describes the various formats of the first 14 characters of the received message and the meaning of each.
-- ICFE BSCLxxxx indicates that a program start request failed on a remote System i. The xxxx is the reason code associated with the program start request failure. Refer to the BSC Equivalence Link Programming book, SC41-5445, for an explanation of the reason code.
-- ICFE CPIxxxx indicates that a communications session ended abnormally on a remote System i. The xxxx is the message sequence number.
-- ICFE SYS-xxxx indicates that a program start request failed or the communications session ended abnormally on a remote System/36 or System/34. The xxxx is the message identification code. Contact the remote system for an explanation of the message.
-- ICFM SYS-xxxx is an informational message that was received from a remote System/36 or System/34. The xxxx is the message identification code. Contact the remote system for an explanation of the message.
-- %x y is a status message from a remote system. This message is normally received from a device, such as a 3741, after a session has ended abnormally. The % is the first character of a 3741 device status message. The x is a single character that identifies the type of remote system. The y is one or more characters that identify the status of the remote system. Contact the remote system for an explanation of the message.
