Cause . . . . . : One of the following may have caused the problem:
-- The environment may be electrically noisy.
-- Noise on the telephone line may be causing an error in the flag character.
-- The modem may not be properly grounded.
-- The remote device may be overloaded with work and cannot respond correctly.
Recovery . . . : You may choose to ignore this message because your line is operational. Refer to the IBM Systems Hardware Information Center Planning information for information about electrical requirements and noise problem considerations. A noisy telephone line may be causing your problem. Consult the local telephone company to have the line tested to verify line quality. Consult the modem manufacturer to determine the proper grounding technique to use. You may reduce the work load on the remote device by ending functions that are not needed. The threshold function may be turned off or changed in the threshold (THRESHOLD) parameter on the CRTLINSDLC command. To report the problem, start problem analysis (ANZPRB command).
Technical description . . . . . . . . : The remote equipment did not respond when it was polled. The counter of the response time-out errors reached the value specified by the THRESHOLD value in the CRTLINSDLC command.
