Write error on tape reel or cartridge, tape unit &25.

Cause . . . . . : The error occurred when writing on the tape. Tape write problems may be caused by dirty read/write heads, worn tape, or by a damaged tape reel or cartridge.
A write error may also be reported if you attempt to add data to a tape and you select a format or density different from the format or density previously recorded on the tape.
Recovery . . . : Clean the tape unit with the proper cleaning cartridge or tape unit cleaner. Refer to the System Operator's Guide or to the tape unit Service Guide for additional information.

-- "Format" is the arrangement of data recorded on the tape
-- "Density" is the amount of data per centimeter that is recorded when the tape is written. It is determined when a tape is initialized (INZTAP command). When using data cartridges the density is determined by the type of tape cartridge, by selecting a format, or by selecting an explicit value.
-- If you are adding data to a tape reel or cartridge, the selected format or density must be the same as previously recorded on the tape.
-- If you are using a save command (SAVLIB, SAVOBJ, etc.) you may continue with another tape reel or cartridge after cleaning the tape unit.
-- If you are copying or writing files onto a tape reel or cartridge and not using a save command, use another tape reel or cartridge and restart at the beginning of the job.
