Message : CPI9F01
Device description &1 may not be configured correctly.

Message Long Text :

Cause . . . . . : The device type, model, or keyboard language type sent for local address &5 may not match the device type, model, or keyboard language type of device description &1 that is configured for local address &5. The device type sent is &3 and the model is &4. Device description &1 has a type of &8 and a model of &9. The keyboard language type sent for local address &5 may not match the keyboard type (KBDTYPE parameter) of device description &1. Device description &1 is not eligible to be automatically deleted and recreated by the system because it was manually created or changed.
Recovery . . . : The device may work properly even though the type, model, or keyboard language type sent may not match the type, model, or keyboard language type of the existing device description. No further action is required. If the device does not work properly, then do one of the following:
- Delete the existing device description using the delete device description (DLTDEVD) command and let the system automatically create a more appropriate device description by powering off and on the device or using the vary configuration (VRYCFG) command to vary off and vary on controller &2. For this reported type and model the system will create a device description with a type of &6 and a model of &7.
- Delete the existing device description and manually create a more appropriate device description using the create device description display (CRTDEVDSP) or create device description printer (CRTDEVPRT) commands.
- Update the keyboard type of the existing device description using the change device description display (CHGDEVDSP) command.
Technical description . . . . . . . . : Dependent device descriptions are automatically created for controller description &2. Product data for each attached device is sent to the system by the controller using the Reply PSID (Product Set ID) vector. More information about the Reply PSID vector can be found in the SNA Formats manual GA27-3136.
