Definition

You can use this authorization object to control of which type and for which plant a user can create, change, or display a change request. The authorization object belongs to the /IAM/DDIC package in the Generic Issue and Activity Management (CA-IAM-ENG) component.

Prerequisites

To specify a value for a plant, make sure that in the Define Object Type Customizing activity, for object type PLA, the following value is entered in one of the additional fields:

  • /IAM/PLANT

The additional attribute fields in this authorization object correspond to the additional fields in the Define Object Type Customizing activity. For example, if /IAM/PLANT is entered in the Additional Field 2 Element field of the Customizing activity, the plant must be entered in the Additional Attribute Field for BO Node (/IAM/AFLD2) field of the authorization object.

Defined fields

The object consists of the following fields:

  • Application in Issue and Activity Engine (/IAM/APPL) - determine which application is responsible for the object
  • Reference System(/IAM/SRCSY) - specify which is the reference system
  • Issue Type/Change Request Type (/IAM/I_ITY) - specify the type of the change request
  • Activity (ACTVT) - determine which activities are allowed; the following values are possible:
  • 01 Create or generate

  • 02 Change

  • 03 Display

  • Additional Attribute Field for BO Node (/IAM/AFLD1) - additional attribute field 1
  • Additional Attribute Field for BO Node (/IAM/AFLD2) - additional attribute field 2
  • Additional Attribute Field for BO Node (/IAM/AFLD3) - additional attribute field 3

Notes

The plant authorizations that are specified in this authorization object are only considered if the /IAM/OREF authorization object does not contain any settings for the PLA object type.
