Easy Authorization Management for SAP

Definition

You use this authorization object to define whether a user is permitted to carry out the following activities for appropriation requests that have a responsible cost center or responsible profit center that are in the user's area of responsibility:

• Functions for master data maintenance

• Planning functions

Defined fields

The following fields are assigned to the authorization object:

• Actions of the authorization check

• Area of responsibility for authorizations

For the field "actions of the authorization check":

You can protect one or more of the following actions:

• 0001 Create master data

• 0002 Change master data

• 0003 Display master data

• 0006 Delete master data

• 0011 Release

• 0012 Cancel release

• 0015 Lock

• 0016 Unlock

• 1002 Create/change planning

• 1003 Display planning

• Approve

• Change identifier

You require authorization for changing master data (0002) in order to be able to make status changes (0011 to 0020).

For the field "responsibility area for authorizations":

Here you can enter individual cost centers, profit centers or nodes in the standard hierarchy in cost center accounting or in the profit center hierarchy.

• If your authorization here contains a cost center, then you have authorization for all appropriation requests in which this cost center is entered as responsible cost center.

• If your authorization here contains a profit center, then you have authorization for all appropriation requests in which this profit center is entered as responsible profit center.

• If an appropriation request is assigned to both a cost center and a profit center, then you need to have authorization for both the cost center and the profit center.

• If your authorization contains a node of the standard hierarchy of cost centers, or a node of a profit center hierarchy, then you have authorization for all appropriation requests in this area. This means you have authorization for all appropriation requests, that have a requesting cost center or requesting profit center that belongs to this node of the hierarchy, or to a node below it in the hierarchy.
