Definition
This object protects profit center maintenance and the related functions. This includes master data maintenance, line item conversion for new releases, and the Customizing transport.
Note:
When you maintain master data, the system also checks the object K_PCAR_REP Summary and line item reports. This makes it possible to limit maintenance authorization to certain profit centers.
When you maintain profit center groups, the system also checks the object K_PCAP_SET Planning hierarchy.
Defined fields
The object contains two fields:
- Activity (determines whether or not the user can carry out a specific function).
- "Create profit center" (including upgrades to new releases) and "Restart matchcode IDs" (Activity = 01)
- "Change profit center" and "Time-based fields" (Activity = 02)
- "Display profit center" and "Master data index" (Activity = 03)
- "Assignment monitor" (Activity = 03)
- "Delete profit center" (Activity = 06)
- "Active inactive profit centers" (Activity = 63)
- "Convert line items" (totals records, actual and plan line items) to Release 3.0 (Activity = 42)
- "Transport customizing settings" (Activity = 21)
- Controlling area (determines in which controlling area the user can process the profit centers).
Example
User X is allowed to create profit centers and change them if necessary. However, he can only do this for profit centers in controlling area 0010. Proper authorizations:
- Action 01, 02
- Controlling area 0010
User Y cannot change any master data. However, she can display the profit centers in all controlling areas. Proper authorizations:
- Action 03
- Controlling area *
