Easy Authorization Management for SAP

Definition

This authorization object determines the authorization of each user to display or execute the summarization of project costs.

Defined fields

The authorization object has the following fields:

• hierarchy ID for project

• controlling area

• activity

To be able to carry out a certain activity, you must first enter the authorization for the desired combination of hierarchy ID, controlling area and activity in your user master record.

The Activity field is set by the system in accordance with the action to be performed. It can take on the following values:

• 03 - Display

• 16 - Execute

• A5 - Display reports

Examples

The following authorizations comprise the profile in your user master record:

Authoriz.	Hrchy-ID	CO area	Activity
1	*	*	A5
2	XYZ	1000	16
3	*	1000	16

Authorization 1:

You are authorized display a report for any project hierarchy in any controlling area.

Authorization 2:

You are authorized to summarize the costs for project hierarchy XYZ in controlling area 1000.

Authorization 3:

You are authorized to summarize the costs for all project hierarchies in controlling area 1000.
