SDDLVIEW - CDS Entity Data

Definition
The authorization object serves as entry/start-authorization for using CDS entities in the SAP Analytics Engine and SAP Enterprise Search.
Note: This authorization object is not evaluated during access to CDS entities with access controls (DCL source) via Open SQL or SADL.
Defined fields
DDLNAME : The name of the CDS entity that shall be protected. This can be a CDS query. Not used in case of SAP Enterprise Search.
DDLSRCNAME: The name of the CDS entity that is the base entity of the DDLNAME. This can be the CDS view the CDS query is based on
ACTVT: 03 - Display
SAP Analytical Engine / BW (replacing S_RS_COMP for CDS views)
Example in context of Analytics:
The user should be allowed to perform a query in an SAP Design Studio app. The query is derived from the CDS-view ExampleCDSViewQuery.
This view selects data from the CDS view ExampleCDSViewCube.
CDS view ExampleCDSViewQuery contains the annotation @Analytics.query: true and
ExampleCDSViewCube contains the annotation @Analytics.dataCategory: #CUBE or #DIMENSION).
Then the user needs the authorization:
- DDLNAME: ‘EXAMPLECDSVIEWQUERY’
- DDLSRCNAME: ‘EXAMPLECDSVIEWCUBE’
- ACTIVITY: 03
Since DDLSRC NAME can be derived from the DDLNAME, the following authorization is equivalent:
- DDLNAME: ‘EXAMPLECDSVIEWQUERY‘
- DDLSRCNAME: ‘*’
- ACTVT: 03
If the user should be allowed for all queries which select from ExampleCDSViewCube then the following authorization is needed:
- DDLNAME: ‘*’
- DDLSRCNAME: ‘EXAMPLECDSVIEWCUBE’
- ACTVT: 03
SAP Enterprise Search (replacing S_ESH_CONN for CDS views)
- DDLNAME: Maintain as ' ' in authorization defaults and as "*" in PFCG roles.
- DDLSRCNAME: ‘EXAMPLECDSVIEWCUBE’
- ACTVT: 03
