Definition

A Comparison Instance defines WHERE and WHAT to compare (defines the runtime options for a Comparison Object), i.e. the actual physical connection parameters to two source systems

Example: Comparison Instance to compare customer masters from ERP #PR3# and CRM #CP1#, filtered by country #US#.

The Compare Instance Run defines WHEN to compare, i.e. repetitive starts of the same Comparison Instance creates a new Run ID each

·,,Start and end date

·,,Expected and compared number of blocks and objects

·,,Result header information, like objects in system 1 only, system 2 only, existing in both but different content

·,,Result detail information, like key fields and content differences for all inconsistent objects

Example: Comparison Instance Run 1 was started yesterday and created the following initial result# After cleanup the Comparison Instance Run 2 was started today and showed a different result.

Defined fields

·,,Comparison Instance: Name of the comparison instance as defined by the customer or delivered by SAP

·,,Source Type: CDC_S_TYPE (ABAP, ADBC, File)

·,,Connection: CDC_CONN (e.g. RFC-destination, ADBC DBCON entry name #)

·,,ACTVT: Value #02# for change, Value #03# for display, Value #06# for delete, Value #16# for execute, Value #35# for output
