Definition

Within the report for the administration of customer-defined programs (COAT), various activities can be carried out.

The program is divided up into three subareas:

  1. Working with data from the repository. This involves the selection of system data directly from the corresponding dictionary tables (data dictionary, TADIR, TRDIR), in order to copy these to the administration tables in COAT. The authorizations for working with the repository data can be maintained using the function (COAT_FUNCT =) 'REPO'.
  2. Working with the COAT Data. After the data has been read from the repository and copied into the COAT administration tables, this data can be maintained and administrated within COAT itself. The authorizations for working with the COAT data can be maintained using the function (COAT_FUNCTION =) 'COAT'.
  3. Data extracts of the COAT data can be created. These extracts can then be converted into other external formats (AIS, and so on). The authorizations for working with extracts can be maintained using the function (COAT_FUNCT =) 'EXTR'.

Defined fields

The following activities are are available for the authorization object S_COAT_ADM:

  • 01,,Insert or Create
  • 02,,Change
  • 03,,Display
  • 06,,Delete

Here the following principle applies: If the user has the authorization to change data (activity 02) then this implicitly also includes the authorization to display data (activity 03). In such cases the activity "Display (03)" does not need additionally to be maintained.

Each of the subareas (REPO, COAT, EXTR) can be maintained individually with these activities.

The following activities are currently possible for the subarea repository (REPO):

  • 01,,Insert or Create (of repository data in the COAT administration tables)
  • 03,,Display (of repository data)

The following activities are currently possible for the subarea COAT data (COAT):

  • 02,,Change (of the COAT data)
  • 03,,Display (of the COAT data)

The following activities are currently possible for the subarea extracts (EXTR):

  • 01,,Insert or Create (of COAT data extracts)
  • 03,,Display (of COAT data extracts)

The function "Delete (activity 06)" is not yet available.
