Definition

Authorization object S_USER_UID protects the assignment of an external unique identifier (UID) to a user.

Defined fields

The authorization object consists of the following fields:

• Activity: You can use this to restrict the permitted functions.

Possible values:

• 03: Displaying the external UID

• 06: Deleting the external UID (only for global user ID)

• 22: Assigning the external UID

• User Group: Can be used to define the user administrator for the maintenance of one or more user groups. This makes sense if there is to be more than one user administrator. Users that are not assigned to a group can be maintained by all user administrators.

• Type of the External UID:

• GU -Global User ID: The global user ID is used for unique identification of a user across multiple systems. It is provided by the SAP Cloud Identity Service or SAP Identity Management for example, which also ensure the uniqueness of this global user ID across multiple systems.

• PR - Provider User ID: System access for a provider. This type is only supported in ABAP Platform Cloud.

• PA - Provider API User ID: API system access for a provider. This type is only supported in ABAP Platform Cloud.
