Easy Authorization Management for SAP

In the operation "Maintain authorizations" you can maintain authorizations for the authorization objects. You also discover which authorization objects are defined in the standard version.

The following list shows which authorization objects are checked:

Functions...	Authorization object
Basis - Central Functions -> Work item handling	S_WF_WI
Basis - Central Functions -> Handling of Business Workplace View	S_WF_LVIEW
Human Resources -> PD: Personnel Planning and Development	PLOG
Basis - Administration -> Table maintenance (via standard tools such as SM31) (authorization class SWE, SWEC, SWES, SWS)	S_TABU_DIS
Basis - Development Environment -> ABAP Development Workbench	S_DEVELOP

Basis - Development Environment -> ABAP Development Workbench

There are authorizations for all authorization objects in the SAP standard system.

The authorizations supplied apply to all organizational units.

Check whether the authorizations supplied meet your requirements. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Choose the object class of the application.

This means the object classes Basis - Central Functions, Human Resources and Basis - Administration for the above authorization objects.

The list of authorization objects is displayed.

First only the descriptive long text of the authorization object is displayed in the list. Choose Utilities -> Technical names to display the above names of the authorization objects.

1. Choose an authorization object.

A list of the authorizations aready defined for this object is displayed.

Create new authorizations if required. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Choose Authorization -> Create.
2. Enter the authorization and a short text.
3. Choose a field to maintain the individual field values.
4. Save your settings.
5. Activate the new authorization.
